Public Address (PA) systems are for general announcements and background audio across a facility. Voice Alarm (VA) systems are life-safety systems designed to broadcast clear evacuation instructions in an emergency, built to specific fire and safety standards. We design and deploy both, and in most facilities they share the same speaker infrastructure while remaining functionally separate.
